C.A.R.E. Ministries at Zoar

The C.A.R.E. Ministry at Zoar is a vital part of our ministries. Below is a detailed description about the C.A.R.E. program.

C.A.R.E. = Christians Actively Reaching Everyone

The C.A.R.E. Ministry of Zoar Baptist Church is a ministry commissioning Christians to use their gifts to show individuals within our church and community that we care about them and their families.

We want to actively pursue our church vision:

To see our church and community TRANSFORMED as we become more like JESUS CHRIST and lead others to Him.

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 says:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the earth. Amen."

C.A.R.E. consists of opportunities for the fellowship at Zoar to share their gifts and love with others in the following ways:

  • Inreach: The first avenue of C.A.R.E. is ministering and meeting the needs within our church. We will try to meet those needs by a call, a card or a visit, giving encouragement where encouragement is needed, and letting individuals know we miss them when they miss church, etc.
  • Outreach: We want to transport our C.A.R.E. outside the four walls of the church. We will encourage community members by sending encouragement cards and conducting visits as appropriate. Outreach also includes going into the community and trying to contact new people with the Gospel, with a prayer, or with any kind word. A vital ministry of any church is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as possible.
  • Upreach: Prayer is the vehicle that keeps any ministry on the move. Each week, C.A.R.E. teams will join our PRAZ Group to fulfill prayer requests by praying for those in need. This ministry wants to make sure that all needs are covered in prayer. We believe in the importance and the power of prayer.
  • Handreach: This avenue of C.A.R.E. is important and essential in providing hands-on work and missions assignments to those in need.
